Rebel Rebel Chapter Nineteen covers Bowie’s life-changing experience when watching Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968, which went on to inspire his first major hit the following year. The collection also includes episodes on Bowie’s 1968 affair with Lesley Duncan, his growing obsession with Jacques Brel and Scott Walker, and his first solo mime performances opening for Marc Bolan’s Tyrannosaurus Rex.
